On February 17, 2020, the U.M.S.M.'s Senate voted 19-6 to leave the Treaty of the Midwest with the T.I.S.R. and enter an isolationist foreign policy. This officially ends the Diplomatic Era of the U.M.S.M. The reasons for leaving the treaty and entering an isolationist foreign policy were outlined in a tweet made by the Supreme Leader.
